✈️ MUST-KNOW MONDAY: Your Passport Expiration Date Can Be Deceiving! 🌎

Here’s a travel tip that can save you from a major vacation headache:

Don’t just check whether your passport is valid for your travel dates. Check the expiration requirements for your destination!

🌴 Many international destinations require your passport to be valid for 3–6 months beyond your return date. That means a passport that technically hasn’t expired yet may still not meet the entry requirements.

Before you book that international getaway, I recommend checking:

✅ Passport expiration date
✅ Destination-specific validity requirements
✅ Blank passport page requirements
✅ Visa or entry requirements
✅ Any required travel authorizations

And please… don’t wait until the week before your trip to discover your passport needs renewed! 😅

💙 MY WHY. ✨✈️

With our annual conference just a little over a week away, I want to share why this job means so much more to me than just booking vacations.

My son is autistic, and communication has always been his biggest struggle. Around the time he was five, we started noticing something incredible. After trips, we would see some of his biggest jumps in communication. Sometimes, progress that we had been working toward for months in therapy seemed to blossom after a single vacation.

I’ve always loved to travel, but seeing what those experiences were doing for my son changed everything for me. Suddenly, I wanted to do everything I could to make travel more accessible and more frequent for our family.

Travel became something we loved doing together, but it also became something I wanted to share with other families.

This year, I made it a mission to reach more families with special needs who might think traveling just isn’t in the cards for them. I want to show families that it IS possible. That with preparation, flexibility, and the right resources, they can experience new places, make incredible memories, and enjoy adventures together, too. 💙

And the video I’m sharing today? This is a HUGE part of my why.

This was in 2023, after a Disney trip, when we visited Disney’s BoardWalk. It was the first completely organic conversation we had ever experienced with him.

I cannot even begin to explain what that moment meant to us as parents. And now, looking back at that little boy and seeing how far he has come, I am in awe.

And the amazing thing? We still see progress after our trips.

I know travel isn’t a magic solution, and every child and family is different. But I also know what these experiences have meant for OUR family, and I want other families to have the opportunity to discover what travel can mean for theirs.

This is why I do what I do. Not just for the destinations, the resorts, the cruises, or the theme parks, but for the families who get to experience them together.

For the memories. For the milestones. For the firsts we never forget. And for the moments that remind us just how much is possible. 🥹💙

That’s my why. And I can’t wait to keep helping more families find theirs. ✨

Someone recently asked me:

“Why are you so diligent about going back and checking for deals for your clients after they’ve already booked? Doesn’t lowering their package price mean you’re taking money away from yourself?”

The honest answer? Yes. It can.

When I find a promotion that lowers a client’s package price, my commission can decrease too. But I don’t look at it as money I’m losing. I look at it as an investment in my clients. ❤️

My job doesn’t end when the reservation is made.

If a new promotion comes out that can save my client money, I’m going to check their reservation. If I can apply that promotion, I’m going to do it.

Because at the end of the day, I want my clients to know that I’m not just trying to make a sale. I genuinely care about getting them the best trip possible for their budget.

Maybe saving a client $500 today means I make less commission on that booking.

But hopefully, that client remembers that I looked out for them.

Hopefully they come back to me for their next vacation.

Hopefully they tell their friends and family.

Short-term loss can hopefully mean long-term gain.

And honestly? I’d rather build a business based on trust, relationships, repeat clients, and referrals than squeeze every possible dollar out of one reservation.
