I get that concept art never turns out quite like the original…but THIS?!?! What the heck? Disney really missed the mark on this. I just hope they step it up and make this space more fun and interactive for the next festival! What do you think? 🤔

Having just spent the New Year at Disney World I have a couple thoughts upon my return to the real world.

My wife and I were there from December 29th thru January 5th. As usual we had a wonderful time. We were able to see some of the new openings at EPCOT and we were also able to dine at a few places we don’t usually visit.
During our Epcot visits we were able to see the new Walt Disney statue. This was a very good detailed statue. We were so happy they have Walt Disney displayed there. We also walked the new open area. It have plenty of seating and charging locations. The lighting and landscape is very well done. I am wondering how many will use it when the Florida summer sun heats it. It is nice to have places to sit.

EPCOT still has several walled in areas that hopefully will open soon. The crowds were large and wait times quite long. However I think lightning lane really has created the exaggerated waits. Hopefully they will adjust this as they learn more.

The one big issue I had at EPCOT was the music. I know this sound trivial but over 30 years EPCOT’s music has been amazing. Many versions of attraction music and very distinct EPCOT music.

This new music is so generic and meaningless it really diminishes the experience for me. This just could be a me thing. However my wife felt the same.

We ate at the Garden Grill and it was great. They have turkey back along with the flank steak. Very good food.
