I took a day just to play while settling back into my “northern” studio, and these little floral studies are what emerged.

Sometimes it feels good to let go of expectations and simply enjoy the paint, the color, and the process. Bright, happy blooms for summer.

I’m experimenting with a new process. I painted a series of flowers on paper, which lets me try them out on the panel before making the final call. So far it’s saving me time, paint, and frustration… and it was fun too. Win!
