Calling all SCC dancers ages 12+! Join Your Healthy Dancer to Fuel Smarter, Perform stronger and Dance longer. 🩰✨

Join us for a Nutrition and Injury Prevention/Care Masterclass this Saturday, August 22nd (5:30–7 PM) as part of the Teen Orientation. We’ll cover the essentials every dancer needs: nutrition, injury prevention, and injury care, led by Genevieve Carrasco, owner of Your Healthy Dancer.

Genevieve empowers dancers to fuel smarter, perform stronger, and dance longer. As a dance wellness expert, former professional dancer, dance educator, and the founder of Your Healthy Dancer, Genevieve brings a unique insider perspective to nutrition and injury prevention. She pairs her dance industry experience in LA and NYC—alongside a B.A. in Dance from UC Irvine—with rigorous nutrition training, having earned her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Nutritional Science from Cal State LA.

Through Your Healthy Dancer, she has delivered education to hundreds of dancers, including at the Orange County School of the Arts. She builds upon this with experience as a physical therapy aide supporting dancers from the Segerstrom Center for the Arts (including A Chorus Line and In the Heights), alongside advanced NASM certifications (Certified Nutrition Coach and Corrective Exercise Specialist). Having personally overcome a decade of chronic pain through health and wellness strategies, she brings empathy to every client she supports. She is currently advancing her expertise in the Master’s in Nutritional Science program at CSULA on her path to becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
