Created to commemorate thirty years of exhibitions in Lagunaโ€™s original art gallery, formerly the cityโ€™s Town Hall, this miniature recreates the space first used by local artists in 1916. The Laguna Beach Art Association was formally established two years later, in 1918.

Thirteen founder members are depicted during a meeting, including Frank Cuprien, identifiable by his white beard. The walls display thirty six miniature paintings specially made for the model by twenty nine longtime Laguna artists. The model honors the artist run beginnings of the Laguna Beach Art Association, which later became Laguna Art Museum.
