D E V O T I O N - the sacred heart is not only a symbol of religious faith. It's association with devotion and love evoques in me a deep, pure connection free of expectations, a connection that is not about what you get but what you give. I didn't come from a religious family. My concept of spirituality is somewhat alternative (maybe I am a rebellious atheist), but there is a lot of symbolism and wisdom in the Bible, I think we could all adapt and learn from.
There is a verse that really resonates with me, specially at the moment, and I want to share it with you: "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
