I first met this family years ago when they were living in California and from the start they felt more like friends than clients 🤍 They’ve since moved to a gorgeous property in Utah and they flew me out to photograph their two super rad Airbnb stays on their property. One is an airstream trailer in the middle of a field of horses and the other is a horse stable converted into a living area. While I was there, I also got to spend a few days alongside them exploring the area, off roading, doing some epic thrifting, sharing great meals, and documenting their everyday life on the farm.

I loved watching the way they all worked together. Everyone has a job. Everyone pitches in. Animals need feeding, projects need tackling, and daily chores are just part of the rhythm of their family life. It’s proof that the most ordinary moments, even chores, can make beautiful memories 🤗

Lately I’ve been thinking about how quickly time moves.

Watching my nieces and nephews grow up has made me understand that in an entirely new way. My oldest nephew is graduating high school while the youngest is graduating preschool, and somehow it feels like only yesterday the oldest was the one in the tiny cap and gown.

One moment they fit in your arms, and the next they’re becoming their own person right in front of you. And I think that’s part of what’s made me see how sacred motherhood really is.

Because when you look at how quickly a child grows, you start to realize childhood is built from thousands of small moments someone lovingly repeated over and over again.

Every “watch this!” moment.
Every bedtime story.
Every question answered.
The guiding.
The listening.
The showing up over and over again.
Staying calm when everyone else is overwhelmed.
Remembering everything for everyone.

And somehow, in the middle of all of it, still creating a life that feels safe, warm, and full of love.

So often, mothers are the ones holding all of it together while barely existing in the memories themselves. And that’s why it feels like such an honor to document these seasons for mothers and their children.

Because one day these photos become reminders not just of how this season looked, but of how it felt.

The way they reached for your hand.
The way they looked at you.
The feeling of home you created around them.

Because moms deserve to be in the frame too.

A little reminder that your home can be one of the best locations for your family photos! This mom was getting ready for deployment and wanted photos of life exactly as it is. The kids wore what they were already wearing to school, the house stayed just as it normally looks, and we documented the energy and rhythm of their everyday life (baking cookies included!) so she could look back on these while she was away and feel close to these moments, carrying a piece of home with her.

There’s something about this time of year I love so much! The weather is getting warmer, the fields are turning green and filling with wildflowers, and the days are finally getting longer 🙏 Spring is right around the corner and my calendar is officially back open, so if you’ve been thinking about booking a session, now is the time to take advantage of all the bright spring colors while they’re here.

It’s that time of year! My fall and holiday booking calendar is officially open!! It’s the perfect time to grab photos for your family holiday cards, but I’m also booking everything from couples and seniors to branding sessions. I’m so excited to see my favorite familiar faces and meet new ones too.

I’ve got gorgeous new locations on the list and spaces are first come first serve. I also have a few select dates available for my East Coast clients in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
