🥁🎶 MUITO OBRIGADO! What a beautiful way to close this season! Thank you to everyone who came to our last Roda de Samba, and thank you for all the music, energy, friendship, and joyful moments we shared from January until now at our new home, Santa Picanha Brazilian Restaurant. 💚💛
Now it’s time for a little summer break, but we’ll be back soon with more samba, community, and good vibes!

🥁🎶 Festival Week Warm-Up + Samba Dance Session 🌍✨
Festival International starts the next day, and we’re kicking things off early: samba style! Join us this Tuesday, April 21, for a special night as we warm up for one of the most vibrant cultural weeks in Lafayette. Along with our usual roda, we’ll have a relaxed and informal “samba no pé” session, a light introduction to the basic steps of this iconic Brazilian style, danced individually to the rhythm of samba. No experience needed, just come ready to move and have fun!
Come sing, play, dance, and enjoy the energy of the circle. Whether you’re a regular or joining for the first time, everyone is welcome and instruments will be available.

Last Tuesday was a beautiful night as we said goodbye to our dear friends Isaac & Sayuri. We already miss their presence, their energy, and all the joy they brought to our circle. We wish them all the best in this new adventure and hope our paths cross again soon. 💚💛

🥁🎶 A Special Farewell Night for Isaac & Sayuri
Next Tuesday, March 17, our roda will carry a special feeling. Along with our usual night of singing, playing, and celebrating samba together, we will gather to say goodbye to two dear friends of our circle, Isaac and Sayuri.
Since the very beginning of the Roda de Samba de Lafayette, they have been part of the heart of this community. Week after week they showed up with enthusiasm, friendship, and encouragement, helping this circle grow into the joyful gathering it is today. Their presence has been part of the spirit of the roda.
As they prepare to begin a new chapter of their lives in another country, we want to celebrate their time with us and send them off with music, laughter, and affection. Come sing, play, dance, share the moment, and help us wish them happiness and success in this new adventure.
