From my starting as an Apprentice in New Orleans at the ol' Art Accent Tattoo at 1041 North Rampart Street, where I learned to tattoo from the LEGENDARY Jacci Gresham! - to where I am now 40 years later. Tattooing has permeated more than just my skin, its inked down into my heart, into my soul. - 40 years in this business and I still love what I do. It feeds me, it feeds my need to be creative. It feed my desire to help people. It has given me the opportunity to meet so many people, to be a part of so many peoples stories. I have been truly blessed. Not every tattoo has a long, heartfelt, meaningful story behind it. Sometimes, a tattoo is just a tattoo, for the fun of it. And, I love those, hell, I have some of those on my own skin! BUT, a lot of times, tattoos do in fact, have a story. It could be as simple as "I'm 18 and I can finally get a tattoo without asking Mom and Dad." - I just got married, my child was just born, I joined the Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force, etc. I graduated college, any number of things. It can also be things that are more somber, like, the loss of a loved one, the loss of a pet, divorce, surviving cancer, any number of things. I have been blessed to be a part of womens stories where they have undergone hurtful abuse and survived it, and I was able to do some tattoos for them, to help them to get past it all and move on. Like a Phenix rising from the ashes to start a new life, a new tattoo can have that same healing effect, and I have been blessed to help many women do just that. Tattoos can be empowering. Its why you hear the term "Tattoo Therapy" a lot, because, for so many people, it is just that.
I know this is long, but to me, its worth reading.
For all these reasons and so many more that I cant think to list right now, it is a part of why I do what I do. And, given that, the economy is been so rough these last several years, everything you can think of has gone up in price. Seems the only thing that has not gone up, is peoples paychecks.
So, given all that I have said above, I am just moved, emotionally, inside, to do what I do and so instead of raising my prices - I have gone the other way, and I have lowered my prices. In a world where every friggin thing cost so much more money, and life just seems to get harder and harder at every turn, I want, no, I NEED, to try harder to help as many people as I can. I just feel like, I need to do it.
So, that is why I run two specials.
Special Flat Half Day Rate, only $350 for up to 4 hours (normally, this would be a $600 session)
and, for only $150 more, you can upgrade that to a full day.
Special Flat Full Day Rate, only $500 for up to 8 hours (normally $1200)
But wait, there is even more good news! Two people can split either the half, or the full day session!
