The Department of Visual Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites all current High School Art Students (grades 9-12) to submit artwork to the NEXT-GEN Exhibition Fall 2022. The Exhibition will be hosted by the Fletcher Hall Gallery, on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus.

The goal of the exhibition is to inspire young artists by providing a platform for their work to be displayed in a professional, artistic venue and thus giving them a professional artist experience. The exhibition offers students a positive exhibition experience along with the opportunity to showcase the finest creative work in the Acadiana Area.

Eligibility:
All public, private, online, and home-schooled high school students (grades 9 – 12) who reside in Louisiana.

Submission Requirements:
A high school art teacher or representative must submit artwork. Each high school teacher/representative may submit up to 10 pieces of artwork, all submitted works must be completed by the student artist and produced during the previous or current academic year. Submissions are submitted by art educators and are NOT limited to one teacher per school. Therefore, multiple art teachers at the same institution can submit separately. Works submitted will be juried by committee of the UL Lafayette - Department of Visual Arts Faculty

The UL Lafayette College of the Arts, Fletcher Hall Gallery seeks entries for a community art exhibition and online auction. The 12 x 12 SPARK Exhibition will showcase 12” x 12” artworks from artists in the greater acadiana region along with UL alums, staff, and faculty. The exhibition will help raise funds for the college’s SPARK Annual Fund. The SPARK fund is committed to funding facets of college and student development that help to make the College of the Arts a vibrant and thriving community. This annual fund helps support the Dean’s Scholars program, student organizational support and grants for original creative research.

Exhibition Information
12 x 12 SPARK Exhibition & Fundraiser will run from September 6 – October 14, 2022.
