Meet Mike, inspired by the real life personality Ted Serios.

Ted Serios (the inspiration for "Mike") was a Chicago bellhop who claimed he could project images onto Polaroid film using only his mind. Although many sceptics attempted to debunk his "thoughtography," no one successfully replicated his astounding feats.

In our production of Extra Sensory Deception, Ted is now Mike. He’s an alcoholic, sometime irrational man who has more to him than we can guess at the beginning of the play.

But when he meets a girl named Meredith, who is lab rat like him, his priorities change. But will he prove his thoughtography is real? Find out in Extra Sensory Deception this weekend only:
Friday 8/21 & Saturday 8/22 at 7:30pm
Sunday 8/23 at 2pm

Come see Max Tomas as Mike for this weekend only!

Extra Sensory Deception is a tense, witty play inspired by the true story of an eccentric bellhop named Ted Serios who claimed he could burn images straight from his mind onto Polaroid film, and the psychiatrist Dr. Jule Eisenbud who expected to expose him as a fraud, but instead found himself caught in a battle between science, spectacle, and the strange powers of the human mind. A world premiere about belief, deception, and the blurry line between truth and illusion, devised by TCL's own ensemble, The Obscura Collective.

We have a staged reading of it this weekend only Friday 8/21 & Saturday 8/22 at 7:30pm and Sunday 8/23 at 2pm. Tickets: tclstage.org
