We had a successful, impromptu month of week-long summer camps that would not have been pulled off without all of our amazing volunteers and special guests!

Virtual Costume Design:
Erica Colarusso, Purdue Theatre grad and Acting Major led a costume construction lesson.
Anthony Sirk, Purdue Costume Shop Manager led an instructional video on the process of a costume designer from script read to renderings

Virtual Choreography Camp:
Carrie Francis, Guest choreographer from Lafayette Jeff dance team, last worked on CYT's "Guys and Dolls"
Brian Kocher, Guest choreographer last worked on Mainstage "Mamma Mia"
Coco Roberts, Guest student choreographer (hip hop) from WLHS

Virtual QuaranTEENed Camp:
Tommy Beardmore, Lafayette native, Purdue film grad working in film and TV (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Chicago PD, Shameless, The Life and Death of An Unhappily Married Man, etc.); Tommy led a discussion on the process from an acting student to a successful career in TV and film
Georgia Warner, Stage, TV/film actor, professional acting coach (Romance in the Digital Age, Bridge and Tunnel): Georgia led a discussion in construction and performance of a successful monologue
Kate Lambert, Actor/ Writer/ Producer/ Improviser; began at Second City and went on to write/produce/and star in original TV series "Teachers"; Kate led a discussion in purposeful dedication to the craft of performing arts with an emphasis on the value of improvisation. She also gave us a glimpse into what the life of a producer/writer/actor looks like.

Dear Civic Families & Supporters,

For the safety of our staff, volunteers, campers, and patrons, we have made the difficult decision to cancel most of our summer programming for 2020 and focus our efforts into launching our 2020-2021 season in September. All the changes, cancellations, and postponements are as follows:

-HamilTONS of Fun camps – June 8-19 changed to VIRTUAL ONLY. Cost of camp has been reduced to $100.00 per week with camp activities taking place from 10:00 AM-2:30 PM.
-Rising Stars camp – June 22-26 changed to VIRTUAL ONLY. Cost of camp has been reduced to $100 per week with camp activities taking place from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.
-101 Dalmatians KIDS camp – June 28-July 4 postponed to July 13-17 and change in venue to The Lafayette Theater. Further details will be emailed directly to campers and cast members.
-Frozen Jr. camp – July 6-August 2 canceled.
-Flanagan’s Wake performances – July 10 & 11 canceled. Tickets may be applied to next season’s performances March 16 & 17, 2021.
-Mothers & Sons auditions & staged reading – postponed until further notice.
-Civic offices closed until further notice.

Refunds are available for all canceled and postponed programming. We also greatly appreciate and encourage the following options:

-Donate the cost back to Civic! This will go directly to operations and keeping Civic going!
-Opt for a partial refund. We appreciate any amount you can afford!
-Apply the cost towards future programming at Civic. This includes any classes, camps, or workshops during the 2020-2021 season.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we explore ways on how to make our theater space a safe and comfortable venue for everyone. We will try to keep you informed on any future programming changes as efficiently as possible. Please take care of yourselves, and we will see all of you back at the Civic when the time is right.
