Acting Unlimited Acting Unlimited, Inc is a non profit theatre company bringing magic through theatre and theatre edu They also seek to teach those interested technical skills.

Acting Unlimited, Inc (AUI) and Acting Unlimited Repertory Academy (AURA) strive to present quality work that gives young and less experienced actors as well as older and more experienced actors challenging and interesting work in a variety of styles. In these ways, AUI and AURA hope to create an enduring legacy of theatre craft and skill to enliven professional and community theatres alike.

A dark money PAC from a neighboring parish is attempting to interfere in our 1st Amendment rights by creating a petition to shut down “Drag Queen Hour” at the Lafayette Parish Library. The leader fo this PAC doesn’t even live in the parish, and appears to be coordinating with an out-of-state group called “Warriors for Christ” who like to file frivolous lawsuits and hold offensive public protests. They are virtually "paid protesters".
Tell Joel Robideaux and the City-Parish Council to resist homophobic charlatans, and protect the 1st Amendment on the behalf of real Lafayette citizens who reject hatred and promote tolerance. Our libraries are for everyone.

In preparation for holding auditions for the summer 2011 production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream", AUI/AURA presented a workshop on auditioning for Shakespeare. This is one of the exercises used by the presenters, Cody Daigle and Ruth Diaz, to accustom the participants to the language.

Over the last several years our focus has moved to a more supportive role to other companies and focusing on being in more of a producing partnership capacity. We are working to be a able to financially assist local theatre companies create their art and provide assistance with set design and costuming. We feel strongly about supporting the young adult theatre community, especially those in our local Performing Arts Academies and high schools. In this ways, AUI and hopes to cultivate an enduring legacy of theatre craft and skill to enliven professional and community theatres alike.

In the spirit of free workshops in the acting community, the Louisiana Renaissance Festival has a free workshop specifically for themed interactive characters. The one day a month workshops build each month to create better characters for the RenFest.
Performing at the RenFest is an amazing way to improve and hone your acting skills. It allows you to approach a role with different techniques and deliveries to see which works best for you. You can literally try out an approach and have a new audience every few minutes, to see which method works best, for you.
