🌙Meet Kelsey Billiot✨

Kelsey Billiot is a Lafayette, LA-based dancer and teaching artist whose career blends a rich background in dance training with a commitment to innovative performance and education. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts concentrated in dance, Kelsey has honed her skills in modern dance and ballet, using this expertise to teach creative movement in classrooms and engage students in kinesthetic learning. Since 2015, she has been an active figure in the local dance community, sharing her knowledge and passion as a teaching artist at the Acadiana Center for the Arts.

In 2018, Kelsey founded Space Lafayette, an artisan dance company known for its site-specific, intimate performances that often take place in unique settings like private homes. She has produced seven evening-length shows and numerous film projects, consistently pushing the boundaries of traditional performance by creating deeply personal and immersive experiences. Her current production, Arc of a Woman, explores the archetypes of the maiden, mother, and matriarch through three solo pieces, reflecting her ongoing dedication to storytelling through movement and her belief in the power of dance to connect, heal, and transform.
