The recording session with Darrell Bourque (one of the two readers for The Submerged Land) went great today! Thank you, KRVS for studio space, the Lafayette Consolidated Government (who funded this project with a LCG grant), and the Acadiana Center for the Arts for administering the grant!

oh yeah, going down to the bayous Saturday to get some footage for my next documentary, a collaboration with Marthe Reed: "The Submerged Land." And our readers of Marthe's poetry? Conni Castille and Darrell Bourque. Oh yeah. Things are going well with this one. Thank you, Lafayette Consolidated Government and Acadiana Center for the Arts for The Plastic Theater of Lafayette's next DVD, a poetic documentary about life on land and water in Louisiana!

Just called that there board meeting.... and realized that last year we did three plays, one digital product, and completed three grants! Not bad!

We will be having a board meeting soon; there have been lots of exciting developments behind the scene and more to come!

It's the end of the year and taxtime! We had a great year with a double bill featuring Krapp's Last Tape and The Zoo Story; a new play, Off the Streets in partnership with the Outreach Center of Acadiana with another Arts Academy in which we work with women in recovery; and our Halloween Bloodfest, Vampire Le****ns of S***m.

We also produced our first DVD, After Swann, with poetry by Marthe Reed, animation by Yeon Choi, music by Josh Carro and production by Keith Dorwick! We're in the planning stages for a full length documentary next.
