Golden Grace ✨

Sometimes the simplest designs speak the loudest.

This original textured artwork is a celebration of movement, elegance, and light. The flowing form invites each viewer to find their own meaning—whether it’s a feather symbolizing hope and freedom, a gentle breeze, or the beauty found in life’s quiet moments.

Created with hand-applied textured medium and finished with genuine gold leaf, the metallic details catch the light from every angle, bringing the piece to life in a way that photos simply can’t capture. The raised texture adds depth and dimension, making this artwork as much about touch and movement as it is about visual beauty.

Each piece I create is handcrafted with patience, intention, and a love for blending texture with timeless simplicity.

Moonlit Serenity 🌙✨

There’s something magical about the quiet stillness of moonlight dancing across the water. My latest piece was created to capture that peaceful moment when the world seems to slow down and nature takes center stage.

Built with textured medium and acrylic paint, the raised details add depth and movement, inviting you to experience the painting beyond what you see. The moon is accented with genuine gold leaf, catching the light and creating a beautiful shimmer that changes from every angle.

Every texture, brushstroke, and touch of gold was added by hand, making this an original, one-of-a-kind piece.

Thank you for supporting my journey as an artist.

There is something so rewarding about capturing the personality, expression, and spirit of a beloved pet on canvas. Whether it's a loyal dog, a proud rooster, a curious chick, or a cherished farm animal, every painting tells a story and preserves a memory.

As an artist, I don't just paint what I see—I paint the unique character that makes each animal special. The tilt of a head, the sparkle in an eye, or the confidence of a rooster standing tall are the little details that bring a portrait to life.

Some of my favorite paintings have been those created for people who love their animals as family. Knowing that a piece of my artwork can celebrate that bond is one of the greatest joys of being an artist.

🐾❤️ Every pet has a story, and I love helping tell it through paint.

ABOUT THE NAME…Many people have asked how I came up with the name Van Godeaux Fine Arts.

The inspiration comes from one of my favorite artists of all time, Vincent Van Gogh. His passion, creativity, and ability to see beauty through color have always inspired me as an artist.

When I decided to create a name for my artwork, I wanted something that reflected both my admiration for Van Gogh and my own artistic journey. I combined the "Van" from Vincent Van Gogh with my family name, Godeaux, creating Van Godeaux.

To me, the name represents more than just art. It symbolizes a love for creativity, color, and the courage to pick up a paintbrush and bring a vision to life.

While my style is uniquely my own, the inspiration to create was influenced by an artist whose work continues to inspire generations. And so, Van Godeaux Fine Arts was born.

There’s something about a weathered boat resting quietly along the shoreline that speaks to me. Maybe it’s the stories it holds, the journeys it has taken, or the peaceful reminder that even after the waves settle, beauty remains.

Boats and water scenes have been my favorite subjects to paint since I first picked up a paintbrush. I’m drawn to the way sunlight dances across the water, the texture of worn wood, and the contrast between the strength of a boat and the calmness of the shore.

Each painting is more than a boat on a beach—it’s a reflection of memories, adventure, tranquility, and the connection we feel to the water. These scenes remind me to slow down, appreciate the beauty around us, and find peace in simple moments.

Do shoreline boats speak to you the way they do to me? ⚓🎨💙

My very first painting was inspired by a photograph I took of a sunset over Toledo Bend Lake—one of our favorite places to watch the sun disappear beyond the water from our boat. From that first painting, I discovered a special love for capturing boats, water, and the beauty of nature on canvas.
