What started as a gathering of friends and music lovers has grown into a lifeline — providing elder musicians with medical support, home repairs, financial help, and the dignity they earned through a lifetime of song. Blue Monday takes place the 2nd Mon of every month at the Jefferson Street Pub downtown Lafayette Louisiana. The event is a fabulous night of music with a top notch house band that f

eatures some of Acadiana's musical treasures,Major Handy, Lee Allen Zeno, Lil'Buck Sinegal, Sir Reginald Masters Dural, Kevin Menard and Robert Richard. Each month we feature invited guest artists from the rich local music community and throughout the state as well as impromptu appearances and performances by members of our extended musical family.. At Blue Monday Jam Session we favor early evening show hours and boast a blue plate special dinner and drinks with the tastiest dishes around that only home cooked Lafayette locals could provide! This is a locally based event and takes place only with the hard work of volunteers who strive to bring the best to all members of our community. 🎤 Brittany Pool & The RugaRouxs — the powerhouse Arkansas‑born, Baton Rouge‑based singer‑songwriter whose blend of jazz, rock, alternative, and blues creates a sound all her own. Her high‑energy performances with The Rugarouxs are known for getting crowds on their feet, and she’s bringing that fire to Blue Monday.

Steve, drum roll please..... Introducing the Blue Monday All-Stars!

Steve Adams: One word sums up New Orleans native Steve Adams… Mojo. A powerhouse vocalist and drummer, Steve has spent decades performing with Louisiana’s greatest—from TK Hulin and The Boogie Kings to Ernie K‑Doe, Jessie Hill, Erma Thomas, Tommy Ridgley, Oliver Morgan, and Allen Toussaint. A true soul man with deep roots and serious groove. Adding to his impressive list, Steve was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2019. 👏

: A powerhouse electric bassist from Southwest Louisiana, Bill has played with regional legends, national touring acts, and international blues icons. His career spans Jazz Fest, Montreal, Tokyo, and countless stages across the U.S. Known for his versatility and rock‑solid groove, Bill remains one of Lafayette’s most respected musicians. And most recently he has taken over for local legend Lee Allen Zeno as Adjunct Instructor of Electric Bass at University of Louisiana at Lafayette . And get this, Lee actually picked Bill to take over should something happen to him. 🙏

Gee Scott : Born playing drums at age two, raised in church, and now leading multiple bands—including Three Thirty Seven, Gee Scott & Pocket, and Mista Do Right & The Irie Crew. He blends funk, soul, R&B, rock, reggae, gospel, and blues into one powerful sound. Music is connection for him—and he’s seen it bring people together around the world. A proud dad and GRAMMY U member, Gee’s goal is simple: take Louisiana music global. 🌍
