Songwriters and aspirational songwriters! Join us every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:30PM to 8:30PM for a Songwriters Meetup.

It's is a free monthly hang for local songwriters, musicians, and curious folks aspiring to write original music. We sit in a circle and share our works-in-progress. Sing, play an instrument, or just bring your support for the group. This is a great space to ask for input, encouragement, fresh ideas, or supportive listening. Meet new friends and fellow creatives, and be part of a collaborative thriving music community here in Lafayette!

All skill levels, music genres, and ages are warmly welcomed! The Songwriters Meetup is facilitated by local musician and singer-songwriter Carly Fox.

The Songwriters Meetup is hosted by YOUR local music nonprofit, Rock For The People. They're all about Boulder County's inclusive and equitable local music community. RFTP uses grant $ and donation $ to offer free and low-cost rehearsal, recording, and marketing services, FREE events and meetups for local performers, and PAID gigs for musicians and audio engineers.

Queso Ra and Trouble's Braids brought the house down at The End Lafayette in May, and our ears, eyes and hearts left happy.

Thank you to everybody who bought a ticket and came out to have a good time!!! Music fans ARE the music scene! We can pay our bands because YOU spend your hard earned money at a local venue to see local bands play original music.

THANK YOU to the volunteers who run the lights, serve drinks, take tickets, set up, clean up, and give infinite high fives and good vibes.

YOU are your local music scene and this is your community!

Our nonprofit partner, Rock for the People, is all about Colorado's homegrown music. We're here to support YOU (the folks who listen + create it). DID YOU KNOW our little music venue shares space with Dog House Music Studios, a local rehearsal and recording studio. Dog House Music's members are local bands, musicians, and musical artists and they're here 24/7 writing, creating, rehearsing, recording, and prepping for shows! They are the heart of our local music scene and they're the reason we're all here listening and experiencing that live music goodness.

Wanna be part of your local music scene?!

1) go to local shows at local music venues

2) buy tickets early and buy tickets often (it's way cheaper than Metallica)

3) buy merch (t-shirts, hats, stickers) and show it off

4) follow new bands on Spotify, TikTok, Instagram etc.

5) invite your friends and besties out to concerts!
