Want a behind-the-scenes look at how arts funding decisions are made in our community?

Acadiana Center for the Arts is seeking community members to serve as grant panelists. Panelists play an important role in reviewing applications, discussing project impact, and helping guide funding decisions for creative work happening throughout our region.

Whether you're an artist, arts supporter, educator, business professional, or simply someone who values the role of arts and culture in Acadiana, we'd love to hear from you.

As a panelist, you'll get a first look at exciting projects, programs, and ideas shaping our creative community while helping ensure funding reaches meaningful work.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 State of the Arts Symposium!

Artists, educators, business leaders, entrepreneurs, advocates, and community members came together for a day of meaningful conversations about the future of arts and culture in Acadiana. Through panel discussions, presentations, and collaborative dialogue, participants explored the challenges, opportunities, and possibilities that lie ahead for our creative community.

We're grateful to everyone who shared their insights, experiences, and vision for the role arts and culture play in shaping our region. The conversations started here will continue to inform and inspire the work ahead.

Thank you for being part of the conversation and helping build a stronger creative future for Acadiana.

Special thanks to LFT Fiber, our presenting sponsor, with additional support from LEDA and The 705 for helping make this event possible.

Black Theatre Experience and the SWLA Juneteenth Committee present The Juneteenth Story, an original play by Lafayette playwright Twana Benoit that brings history to life through the story of one family across two timelines: 1865 and today.

Blending faith, history, music, movement, and powerful storytelling, the production explores what freedom meant then and what it asks of us now. Join us at Acadiana Center for the Arts on June 19 and 20 for this moving community tradition that has inspired audiences across Acadiana for nearly two decades.
