At UTEP, we are not only training dancers for performance careers—we are helping shape artists, leaders, educators, scholars, choreographers, and creative professionals prepared to move across many worlds.

Students in our department gain opportunities to perform, choreograph, teach, research, collaborate across disciplines, engage with community, and build professional experience while earning their degrees. Watching graduates and current students step into spaces like professional sports, concert dance, theatre, education, and creative leadership reminds me how important it is to create environments where artists can grow fully as people.

If you are looking for a program where rigorous training, mentorship, creativity, scholarship, and community all matter, there is space for you here.

The next generation of artists is already emerging at UTEP Department of Theatre and Dance 🧡⛏️

That’s a wrap on Orlando! ✨

What a special experience it’s been to work on this project—with an incredible cast of student actors, a dedicated production team, and under the direction of a passionate director Jay Stratton. I’m so grateful to have co-choreographed this work alongside and to have been part of a process filled with artistry, collaboration, and care.

These students showed up with so much commitment, vulnerability, and talent—it’s been an honor to witness and support their work.

If you’d like to continue supporting our amazing Theatre & Dance community, we’re raising funds for the Theatre and Dance Scholarship Fund.

Our goal is $5,000, and every dollar helps our performers, designers, and storytellers focus on what they do best: creating magic on stage without financial barriers holding them back.

If this work moved you, consider giving back. ✨
