Charles County Fair Every September, the Charles County Fair Board puts on an old-fashioned county fair. Over 790 exhibitors entered over 6,800 exhibits in 2011.

Every September, the Charles County Fair Board puts on an old-fashioned county fair with farm animals, displays of all kinds, demonstrations, and food of various kinds. Exhibits as varied as livestock, field corn, arts and crafts, quilts and flowers are shown in our Greens area. Entertainment, special events, and activities for all ages as well as four stages filled with games, shows, music, a baby show, pig races, pony rides and performers of all sorts add up to fun for the whole family. Lawnmower racing is one of several events added in recent years. Our carnival midway is full of rides and contests for all ages. We even have a "kiddie" midway for those young ones among us. If you get hungry, there are plenty of choices from traditional county fair food to more healthy alternatives, even crab cakes! Your continuing support allows us to upgrade the fair and its facilities each year and to pay for our annual 4th of July fireworks. We also host many affairs and events during the year such as tool shows, hunting expos, fund raisers, lobster feasts, dog shows, tractor pulls, and family reunions.

This is the last day of the 2026 Charles County Fair! It’s a beautiful day and we hope you can enjoy all the fair has to offer! We have exhibits showing off the talents of our county residents as well as rides, animals, fair food, a glass blowing demonstration, a wood carver and much more! The gates close at 5:30 pm, so you have time to come and enjoy!

This is your final chance to enjoy your favorite fair food, carnival rides, animals, exhibits, demonstrations and live entertainment. Come make a few more fair memories before we close the gates on another wonderful year!

🕘 Gates open: 9:00 AM
🏛️ Exhibit buildings: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
🏢 Commercial buildings: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
🎠 Carnival & Midway: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
🎟️ Gates close to entry: 5:30 PM

Please plan to arrive before 5:30 PM—no entry will be permitted after that time.

The Charles County Fair is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone.

There will be ZERO TOLERANCE for:

• Disruptive or disorderly behavior
• Fighting
• Vulgarity
• Improper dress
• General disrespect for others

Violation of this policy may result in removal from the Fairgrounds or arrest.

CHAPERONE POLICY: Any patron under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the Fairgrounds after 5:00 PM.

ALL BAGS AND CARRY-ON ITEMS ARE PERMITTED AND SUBJECT TO SECURITY INSPECTION
FACE AND HEAD COVERINGS CONSEALING IDENTITY ARE NOT ALLOWED
