Happy Monday! As haunt gets put away and Christmas rolls out, here's a burning debate we've been discussing all weekend: Is traditional door-to-door Trick-or-Treating phasing out or dying with this new generation? Please comment with your thoughts below!

Amongst allegations of porch candy pirates across the country, is it becoming a thing to just leave candy out front in a self-serve bowl or bucket because people don't want to open their doors and be accused of playing Mr. Wilkins (from the motion picture Trick-r-Treat), or is it the Covid angle still? And it's not just that side of it. The turnout is dropping like crazy too. Our paid Trail spiked this season, but since Halloween fell on a Tuesday we did not open the haunt and were then able to hand out candy at our house for the second consecutive year, and for only the 4th time in 10 years. We used to have about 1,500 kiddos pass through. This year: 390 (yes, I used a clicker counter for this). So, are parents more likely to take the fam to a safe environment like a Trunk-or-Treat or a paid theme park type of setting over letting their kids go door-to-door on October 31st? What do you think or what do feel is causing this trend downward? Will this be another tradition falling with yesteryear?
