Enjoy an afternoon in La Jolla with live music as award-winning violinist Stella Chen and pianist Gilles Vonsattel transport you into a world full of elegance and musical storytelling.

We, as an organization, stand in solidarity with the Muslim community and all those affected. Acts rooted in fear, hatred, or violence are contrary to everything we stand for and who we strive to be as a member of this community. Please stay safe, and know that we are holding all those impacted in our thoughts.

A regular performer at notable New York Jazz venues, Shenel Johns () captivates with a versatile vocal range evoking the sounds of Ella Fitzgerald, Abbey Lincoln, and Sarah Vaughn.

On Saturday, May 16, experience her up close at The Conrad as she brings her distinctive voice to The JAI, our intimate jazz lounge. Blending jazz, rhythm & blues, and gospel with remarkable depth, it’s no wonder she’s shared the spotlight with legends like Curtis Fuller, Hank Jones, Dionne Warwick, and Sheila Jordan.

Make it a night to remember!

Art is not a luxury – it’s an economic engine.

San Diego’s creative economy is recognized as a $10.8 billion industry that drives tourism, hospitality, learning opportunities, and community enrichment. Many San Diegans would agree that one of the plethora of reasons that makes San Diego so great is the diversity of arts and culture events across the city.

The proposed elimination of the Commission for Arts & Culture from $13.8 million to just $2 million would have resounding effects across the neighborhoods and organizations we love. Without arts and culture funding, neighborhood festivals, local art groups, community events, and educational programs would cease to exist.

We encourage artists, culture workers, advocates, and community members to attend a p***c rally calling attention to these proposed cuts:

📅 PUBLIC RALLY
When: Monday, May 18
Time: 4 PM
Where: Civic Center Plaza, 1200 Third Ave. San Diego, CA 92101
