About me:

My name is Melissa Gomes and I am a wife to an amazing husband and a momma of three! We have two adopted kiddos and one baby waiting for us in heaven. We live on a beautiful farm where I homeschool the kids and have amazing adventures. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art with and emphasis in photography and drawing and a Master's degree in Elementary Education, both from EOU. Before photography I was a elementary teacher in Managua, Nicaragua and in Eastern Oregon. Photography is so important to me and I love documenting my families many milestones and yours as well! We built an amazing studio right here on the farm that is absolutely perfect for newborn photography. Whether you choose an on location session or a studio session we will have fun, create memories and document this special time in your life! I'm Eastern Oregon's newborn photographer!

Take me back to DC!

I never posted any of my photos I took of the beautiful models I was privileged to photograph back in January. For those who don't know, I was hired to photograph the March for Life rally and was able to march in support of women and babies on Capital Hill. That was a life long dream and I want to do it again! We stayed at the Monaco hotel in downtown DC (we had a major blizzard!) and had access to these beautiful, spiral stairwells. www.supercutedresses.com rented the ballroom of the hotel to host their fashion show and I was one of two photographers that photographed this event. It was a fabulous weekend! 🩷🥹☺️

This handsome dude rings 370 newborns photographed! 370....that seemed like it would never happen. I couldn't even imagine getting to 100, and now I'm nearing 400. I have learned so much along this journey. I've taken many, many online classes for posing, newborn safety, editing etc, but honestly I've learned the most from actually photographing each, individual newborn. With 370 newborns photographed I can be pretty certain that no matter baby's temperament that day, we will achieve beautiful, memorable photos.
