Following a sewing pattern to make the finished project is the easy part. 😂😅

Before you ever see (or sew) the pretty bag/garment/quilt there’s a whole lot of measuring, calculating, sketching, second-guessing, revisiting notes, and double checking…,“Wait, if I do THIS, then THIS has to change…”

Because as we makers & designers already know we are also mathematicians, engineers, and problem solvers. 🧠
We just happen to work with fabric and thread. ✂️🧵

As a lifelong lover of all things math…
Why did I get a law degree? 😂🫠🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m obsessed! I’ve done 6 shows on Whatnot so far and it’s so much fun! I put on my party lights, some music and just run my mouth and sell fabric, patterns, thread and sewing supplies! 🤭🤪💁🏽‍♀️

I’ve been having a blast live selling and hanging out with sewing friends! 🙌🏽🥳🔥

It’s my goal to cut all your fabric orders and ship them out as quickly as possible- usually within 12 hours! 😅🤪 It’s like a game for me to cut over 120 yards of fabric and bundle them all up. 👍🏽

Anyone else making back-to-school projects? My daughter needed a quick sleeve for her AP World History textbook. This was a quick 15 minute project because I used a clear glitter vinyl! I bought from Sew HungryHippie. Easy peasy and finished with two plastic snaps. 👌🏽🥳😍

I got up early this morning to cut 120+ yards of fabric. If you know me you know I love my rotary cutters and cutting fabric! So, this was a quiet, relaxing morning for me believe it or not. 🙃✂️

I'm not new to live selling but I finally hosted my first live auction selling show last night! It was about time since I set it all up 3 years ago. 🫠

I’m excited to share that I’ll be teaching a FREE live video workshop during Summer Creative Retreat!

• Workshop: Sew a Cotton Rope Bowl
• Date/time: Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 6PM EDT/3pm PDT
• We’ll make: A cotton rope bowl with sprinkles of color from fabric scraps!
• You’ll need: 3/16" diameter cotton rope, sewing machine with zig zag stitch, a small bunch of fabric scraps cut into 1/2" x 5" pieces, coordinating thread and a 90/14 or 100/16 denim sewing machine needle.

This session is designed to be approachable and completed in one sitting, so you can follow along live and leave with a finished rope bowl!
