Our Story

Verdugo Hills Art Association (VHAA) is a place for artists where they can develop and build their own work by forging relationships with other artists by providing a forum for enjoyment, growth and a better understanding of all facets of the visual arts including; painting, printmaking, collage, assemblage, sculpture, photography and digital arts.

From September through June we have monthly demonstrations by well known artists such as: Joanne Formia, Karl Dempwolf, Richard Scott, Danielle Eubank, Rhonda Ralston, Nan Rae, Lynne Fearman, Frank “Kimo” Mitchell & a wide variety of others. Demonstrations are free for members with a suggested donation of $5 for visitors, which may be applied towards membership.

We are currently in the process of finding new spaces where we can exhibit our work during the months of January, May, June, & November; during the month of February we have a Small Image Exhibition at the Pasadena Public Library; and on the Sunday of Memorial Weekend we exhibit at the Annual White Picnic-Jazz-Art Fest at the historic Lanterman Home. We have also exhibited our work at White’s Gallery, Montrose; DIGGS Realty, Montrose; and Verdugo Hills Hospital: USC-Keck. VHAA proudly provides weekend workshops w/ artists such as: Joseph Stoddard, Poe Tan, Gerald Brommer, Richard Scott, Julie Hill, and Jay Ewing.
