The Firehouse Community Theatre in LaBelle needs one boy and one girl above the age of 10 to join our Summer youth program tomorrow morning. If money is an issue there are scholarships available. Hello everyone!

Regarding the recent Change.org petition making the rounds in Labelle, the Firehouse Theatre would like to clarify what likely prompted it. In a spirit of solidarity with the City of Labelle, we initially hesitated to speak out of turn. Recent developments show clarification is needed.

In short, there was discussion between our board and a representative from the city that our 34th year may be our last, upon where the building that we call home could be repurposed. As the Firehouse Theatre is a LaBelle institution, this obviously alarmed many people. And rightfully so! The loss of such cultural linchpins is a tragedy beyond compare. We love Labelle. We love the city. And we love you. We know this affection is returned in kind every time we take the stage!

We hope our longtime patrons, fans, and volunteers will join us at the city commission meeting on July 9th and demonstrate the love all of us have for the fine arts in LaBelle.
