Thank you Caydie Buffington, our 2026 Kuna Stampede Junior Queen! Below is her goodbye:
As I take my last lap around this arena, I can’t help but look back at all the memories this year has given me—the bobby-pin scars, the sweaty running makeup, the long nights, the early mornings, the nerves, the laughs, and every single moment in between.
Being given my first title this year has taught me so much more than I ever expected. It has taught me perseverance, how to keep a great attitude even when things don’t go as planned, and most importantly, what it truly means to be part of a community and a family.
I am beyond grateful for every person who has been a part of this journey. To my coordinator, Jess, thank you for giving me this opportunity and believing in me. To my amazing rodeo board, thank you for trusting me to represent your rodeo and allowing me to wear this title with pride.
And most of all, thank you to my family. Not just the people who live under my roof and support me through every step of my life, but also the family I’ve gained along the way. To my incredible rodeo moms, thank you for the advice, encouragement, laughs, and countless memories. And to my beautiful mom, thank you for putting up with way more than you probably signed up for and loving me through every bit of it.
This year has given me memories, friendships, lessons, and a community that I will carry with me long after I take this final lap. I’m so thankful for every person who has cheered me on, helped me up, believed in me, and made this year one I will never forget.
One last lap around the arena, one more wave, and a whole lot of memories to carry with me. 🤍🏇🏼✨
Thank you Caydie, and best of luck during your 2026/2027 year as part of the Black Canyon Stock Show & Rodeo Court!
