Each scene takes you back to not only a certain year, but also to a particular day. Randy Welborn is the sole proprietor of his fine arts studio, nestled in small southern town of Kountze, Texas, where the Big Thicket thrives, and life in the fifties is just one painting away. Randy grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and while he has painted landscapes of the surrounding Big Thicket where he now makes his home, Randy's best work is demonstrated in scenes of the Fifties in Beaumont. He has a dozen large scale historical painting depicting specific scenes at exact moments in time from the Fifties, painstakingly researched for precise details, and patiently painted with perfect precision. The details will astound you. The colors will amaze you. The scenes will enchant you with your own memories from the Fifties.
