I know everyone is wondering.. “WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE GASWORKS!?”
So I’d like to go ahead and clear things up for everyone as best as I can here, so stick with me for a minute and I’ll explain everything..
Let me start off by saying I did have the permits in place, and I had confirmed with local and state government offices that I was going to be able to hold this first event here. The day before the show, I had a walkthrough scheduled with the fire marshal so that he could inspect the venue and give me a list of anything I might have missed in order to be able to continue holding future shows and set up The Gasworks as an ongoing business venture. We were both surprised when 7 other local and state officials decided to drop by and join in on our 1 on 1 walkthrough, but we proceeded nonetheless. I did my best to walk everyone through in an organized manner and answer/ ask questions, but it quickly became overwhelming with everyone walking around on their own throughout the venue and into the other half of the building that isn’t occupied by the venue. We finally managed to reassemble back in to the venue in front of the stage in a big circle where we discussed their concerns. I was told in short, that I hadn’t “jumped through enough hoops yet”. They did however confirm that legally, The Gasworks CAN OPEN.
So moving forward, I’ve started meeting with the various branches of local government to get a clear picture of what is needed to officially open and to avoid any further confusion. Once I have a full checklist I will start working on knocking it out and will keep you all updated on where we’re at here!

We all had a great time, and it goes to show the amazing potential we have here at our own venue!!! Thanks again for all your continued support!!
