Rachelle’s Vision

A private-client commission following her unique encounter during worship.

A vision of the gloriousness of Christ in the tomb. Jesus communicated that we forget about the power of the grave and that resurrection began in the tomb.

“Come to lay to rest all the things here. You can put down all these things that you are carrying. I've already put them to death.”

Thank you, Rachelle and Josh, for trusting me to collaborate with you.

We have returned from an epic trip with extended family, exhausted but with full hearts.

Last night was movie night, and Sylvia experienced The Princess Bride for the first time (with a little fast-forwarding through some parts).

Concluding my tour of the Fellowship with Boromir. I underestimated the film versions' costume detail.

Played by the always exceptional Sean Bean.

I am often reminded of this verse in his final scene of the Fellowship:

"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

Sketching from last night's online illustration hangout.

Our prompt was the USMNT. A couple of quick sketches before settling into a render of Folarin Balogun.

Merry completes the dynamic duo.

I'm planning on doing some kind of poster giveaway, social-type thing for the whole fellowship, so these can live beyond a screen. More to come!

A few more images from my time in Armand Serrano's environmental mentorship. There was a strong emphasis on using 3D tools to support rapid asset creation and future flexibility.

While the prior image was a piece of mood/key art, this second series was to build a functioning environment that could potentially support multiple scenes. Key art could be imagined from many angles here.

Some very primitive sculpting in Nomad for the ground structure, a few assets procured from Sketchfab, mainly the Mark 1 tank, and then line art overlay for detail and to unify elements. The final round was color + callouts.

This angle was referred to in critique as the 'Polly Pocket' view, which was just so funny to me. Growing up in the era of Micro Machines and Stephen Biesty's Cross-Sections books, I can see all the influence coming through.
