Welcome to the Kohler MakerSpace, where new possibilities are uncovered, artistic visions come to life, and innovation through collaboration shines.

Artists are invited into our factories to explore, test limits, and expand their creative practice—calling on the industrial materials and know-how of our skilled craftspeople to push their work in new and ambitious directions.

This summer, that spirit of exploration brought pioneering ceramic artist Indrani Singh Cassime from Pondicherry, India, to Kohler, Wisconsin. Known for her work in traditional Anagama wood firing, and for pushing boundaries in contemporary ceramics, Indrani embraced the opportunity to utilize new materials and processes to bring her vision to life.

Inside our Wisconsin pottery—surrounded by Kohler mold makers, casters, and technicians—Indrani discovered new materials and textures, and a new way of approaching one of her favorite artistic forms: the moon.

The result was a collection of suspended "mood moons" rich with color, texture, and emotion—inspired by romance, nature, and human connection.

For Indrani, the artist residency wasn't just about creating new work. It was about discovering new ways of working, building connections across cultures, and finding fresh inspiration through collaboration.

As she put it: "My heart is fulfilled with all the work and people and good friends I made."

Thank you, Indrani, for sharing your creativity, curiosity, and artistry with us. We're honored to have been part of your journey.

For generations, the Kohler Associate Summer Picnic has brought associates and families together. Dating back to the Circus & Field Days of the 1920s, the cherished tradition continues to celebrate the people who make Kohler what it is today. Suspenders, ties, blouses, and pearls have given way to shorts, baseball caps, and flip flops, but the camaraderie, community, and celebration endure.

At IndoBuildTech Expo 2026, we didn’t just build a booth. We created an experience—actually, several experiences.

A dramatic passage of light, water, and artistry welcomed visitors to immerse themselves in the unexpected—and imagine new possibilities for modern living.

At the heart of the experience was Project 6, a creative collaboration between some of Indonesia's most celebrated designers and creators. Together, they transformed personal stories, cultural influences, and modern lifestyles into meaningful connections between people and the spaces we inhabit.

From the historic elegance of The Batavia 1700 Suite by Rudy Dodo x Olivia Jensen, to the atmospheric beauty of The Nightfall Suite by Christin Castillo x Dion Wiyoko, to the elevated luxury of The Royal Experience Suite by Melati Danes x Ayudia & Ditto, each space revealed a different vision of how thoughtful design can shape the way people feel, connect, and live.

Because we believe great design goes beyond aesthetics. It creates emotion, inspires new ways of thinking, nurtures our wellbeing, and transforms everyday moments into meaningful experiences.

At Kohler, we believe in the power of a shower—to soothe, restore, and invigorate.

That belief inspired a journey that began in 2001, when Kohler teams across the U.S. came together in just one week to design, build, and deploy a mobile shower unit at Ground Zero in New York City following the September 11 attacks. There, the trailer provided recovery workers with a warm shower and a moment of respite during an unimaginable time.

That moment sparked a legacy of innovation and service.
What began as an emergency response solution evolved into a platform for impact. From disaster zones and hurricane and wildfire recovery efforts to supporting frontline healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and expanding hygiene services for communities in need, the Kohler shower trailer has traveled wherever dignity, comfort, and care were needed most.

Today, the legacy returns home in a new partnership near Kohler Co. headquarters. Partnering with Street Angels, Inc. and Sheboygan County Warming Center, the newest shower trailer provides reliable access to showers and hygiene products for local unhoused and vulnerable community members.

It is the latest chapter in a 25-year story whose mission has remained unchanged: restore comfort, dignity, and well-being through access to water and hygiene.

Because sometimes the most meaningful innovations aren't measured by what they do—they're measured by the people they serve.

The year was 1976. New high school graduate Michael Wagner walked into the employment office next to Gate 1 at Kohler Co. headquarters in Kohler, Wisconsin. He interviewed, got the job, and accepted on the spot.

That decision marked the beginning of a journey spanning more than 50 years.

In June 2026, Michael became our 92nd associate to celebrate a half century of service. Over the years, he’s built a deep and diverse understanding of the business, working across roles in manufacturing before finding his long-term home in payroll.

From his early days as a timekeeper walking the plant floor, reviewing tickets, and verifying details, Michael became known not only for his knowledge, but for his commitment to ensuring that every associate was paid correctly and on time—in an era when payroll meant punch cards and direct deposit was still a dream.

There were a lot of memorable moments, but if you ask Michael what kept him here for five decades, his answer is simple: the people. Stories like his are a reminder that careers—and companies—aren't built in a day. They're built through relationships, purpose, and showing up for others year after year.

50 years. Countless connections. One incredible legacy.

Meet the WasteLAB DemiLav—a sink as unique as its origins.

Handcrafted by artisans in the one-of-a-kind Kohler WasteLAB, each sink is carefully engineered, precisely constructed, and intentionally designed from recycled manufacturing byproducts. No two are exactly alike, yet each reflects a singular philosophy: that sustainable design and beautiful design can be one and the same.

Since its launch in 2014, WasteLAB has reimagined overlooked waste streams into new possibilities, diverting 14.86 metric tons of waste from landfills in 2025 alone.

We’re not just making products. We’re redefining what materials—and manufacturing—can be.

Clay firing. Sparks flying. Metal pouring. It’s the magic of Arts/Industry—a more than 50-year collaboration between Kohler Co. and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center.

Since 1974, more than 500 artists-in-residence have stepped into our Pottery and Foundry, working shoulder to shoulder with master industrial artisans to push the limits and blur the lines between art and industry.

For both the artists and our associates, the experience is immersive, challenging—and transformative. Long days become creative breakthroughs. New materials become shared languages. And a camaraderie and generosity of spirit is forged in the belief that creativity belongs everywhere.
