On Tap sign-ups through November are officially LIVE on our website! We cannot wait to create, explore, and make messy memories with all of our artist friends at some fun breweries (you’re welcome, parents 😉).

We’re continuing our artist-inspired classes through 2026 with themes featuring Keith Haring, Henri Matisse, Eric Carle, Monet, Pablo Picasso, and Georgia O’Keeffe. You can expect a variety of art materials and techniques to explore, themed sensory bins that bring each artist’s world to life, and a whole lot of fun along the way.

A little reminder: our classes designed for ages 4 & under are intentionally kept small so there’s plenty of room for both grown-ups and little ones to move, play, and create comfortably together. Those spots tend to fill up quickly, so if you’ve had your eye on a class, don’t wait too long to grab your spot!

Meet you at your favorite brewery! Link in bio. 💛

Okay, friends, Summer Haus is officially ready to share!

Summer haus started as “camp mom” a few summers ago. Working as a school system OT meant summers with my kiddos. I found myself trying to come up with things to do with my kids, and within a few weeks I start feeling burnt out. I was constantly searching Pinterest, asking friends for suggestions, and trying to figure out how to keep everyone entertained without spending a fortune (one income household over here). I started putting together some themes, our favorite activities, snacks, crafts, outings, and boredom busters in one place.

This year I put extra effort into it because I wanted to create something for our families and artists. Not the “camp mom” I had scribbled on paper, but something more intentional. Here is my little labor of love, Summer Haus. I made it for myself and for families on one income, for grandparents or caregivers caring for children, for working parents who want to their summertime with their kiddos to go a little further. For those of us who want to minimize the mental load and maximize the fun (on a budget!).

Summer Haus is a 9-week guide full of themed ideas for toddler through elementary school Children. Some activities are free, some cost a few dollars, some happen at home, and a few are bigger adventures if you’re feeling ambitious.

Our family definitely doesn’t do everything in the guide. It’s just a tool to help make summer a little easier and give you some inspiration when you’re out of ideas.

Grab the digital download for $9, which comes out to about $1 a week! Link in bio!

Also…we may have hidden a few Easter eggs in the event graphic. 👀🥚How many can you find?

Why does process-based art matter?

Because the magic isn’t in the finished product. It’s in the creating.

When children engage in process-based art, they aren’t focused on making something “perfect” or following concrete instructions. Rather, they are exploring, experimenting, problem solving, and expressing themselves freely.

Process-based art helps children:
💛Build creativity and confidence
💛Strengthen fine motor skills
💛Develop decision making and autonomy
💛Express emotions in a safe and meaningful way
💛Learn resilience and that “mistakes” can become something beautiful

To the outside eye, our classes may look messy, unintentional, and slightly chaotic (and often it is messy and slightly chaotic), but it’s never unintentional.

We spend weeks on curriculum, theme, sensory input, create a plan b and c, and try to provide the best experience for our artists. The artwork may not always look like what adults expect, but the growth happening behind the scenes is incredible. And I dare say, the resulting artwork FEELS like your child. It feels care-free, safely impulsive, young, silly, and joyful - a direct representation of where they are at in their lives.

Guys, it is actually all sunshine and rainbows over here. Even when we’re outside in the rain, we still have the best time and make the messiest, fun-filled art.

We’re heading into the last week of our four week series, and honestly we’re going to be so sad when it’s over. These artists have braved the rain, gotten messy, experimented, and trusted us while we figure this whole thing out in real time.

Not only are they making incredible art, but they’ve also helped us build our curriculum from the ground up. We’re learning what works, what doesn’t, how classes should flow, what things hold attention, how we need to split age groups, and so much more. We are so thankful for a group of parents and artists who have been flexible, fun, kind, and creative alongside us as we teach and learn!

Starting The Art Haus has felt exciting, overwhelming, vulnerable, and magical all at once. We’re so grateful for every family who has joined us so far, every artist who bravely shows up, every person who signs up for a class, shares a post, tells a friend, or believes in our sweet little (mobile) Art Haus. You’re helping us build something really special, and we can’t wait to keep growing!
