To our Muddy Creek Christmas Lights and Stumpy's Holiday Spectacular family, This is a hard note to write. After months of searching and exploring every option we could, we've made the heartbreaking decision not to operate for the 2026 season. We know this is disappointing. What started small turned into something we never imagined. Families bundling up for the lights, kids racing to Santa Land, s'mores by the fire, music in the air, photos at the selfie stations. We'll miss those nights so much.
We want to thank our incredible sponsors and partners who believed in us: Fox & Farmer, WVLT Channel 8, Faith Promise Church, Trendsetters Media Group, All Occasion Party Rentals, United Rentals, Broadway Carpets, East Tennessee Children's Hospital, LCUB, Bark of the Town,4 Get the Scoop, and Second Harvest Food Bank. Your support made magic.
To our volunteers and friends, thank you for the countless hours in the cold and the late nights. And to every family who visited, whether once or every year, thank you for letting us be a part of your Christmas traditions. While we won't gather in 2026, we hope this isn't the end of the story. From our family to yours, thank you for every smile, every kind word, every shared moment. We wish you a Merry Christmas, a joyful season, and blessings in the year ahead. With heartfelt gratitude, Jacob Burris, creator, Muddy Creek Christmas Lights and Stumpy's Holiday Spectacular.
