Eventually I will have ATR-BC, LPC behind my name (Art Therapist - board certified, and Licensed Professional Counselor).
Woohoo!
When I am done with this, I will have not one, but TWO Master's level credentials. Because I like the hard route 😂 (I'm not moving to Santa Fe though, it's online).
I had to seriously consult myself and God about if I really want to commit to this for 3 years, is it worth it, will it pay of, etc. I decided even if it weren't I would be upset with myself in my old age if I didn't do what I've been trying to do my whole life. So after much ado, arranging the financials, applying--which meant pulling 10+ year old transcripts from multiple universities, writing statements and essays and putting together a portfolio, interviews, etc! All in the middle of mom life, work, etc it's done!
I can tell that this school is a great fit and I appreciate their methodologies. My first college was a traditional college, this one is more personalized.
I knew when MTSU was the one. I didn't even tour anywhere else for undergraduate. I felt the same about this school! I knew what I wanted. Geting those same memories crop up from when I was accepted to undergrad when I was 18.
It just hits different when you bet on yourself and you win. Always bet on yourself or make yourself into a good bet.
Thanks to anyone who has supported me this far, in any type of way. It means the world and I try to give it back 10x. Or if you didn't support me, that helps me too. Either way ❤️
