My first business cards came in today! I received a business card from an artist who put one of their artworks on the backside and I thought it was genius, so I knew I wanted to copy that idea for mine. These clouds are my favorite painting right now even though they’re one of my more simplistic and abstract paintings. So when you get a business card from me, you also get a free tiny copy of one of my favorite paintings 🙂

I have finally updated my website! This site will mostly be for showcasing my work. If you would like to purchase artwork, you can still shop many custom items in my etsy shop (and even request a commission from there) or just contact me through Facebook, email, or text for commissions. The sunset clouds will always be my favorite subject 🤍 sunsets are a major reason I love to paint! You can’t get the same colors, emotions, sense of “awe” or movement with a picture that you can get with a painting. When I look at the sky, I’m reminded of Gods presence. It feels like he’s painting a picture for me to enjoy on my evening drive.

We got some new oil colors at Blick under the Utrecht line and these grays are perfect for landscapes! Saves me so much time with mixing and keeps my colors consistent.

A quick little color study with oil!
I was driving home from the store and the purple flowers in the fields caught my eye. I pulled over to snap some quick pictures and then as soon as I got home tried to remember everything I saw. And it’s such a beautiful day, Amos and I enjoyed some time outside on our porch. ☀️
