How can it be October already?

I’ll get to shop for a new labyrinth or two to add my collection, and hang out with Charlotte in person next week at the Annual Gathering of The Labyrinth Society. I’m so looking forward to seeing my TLS friends in the beautiful state of Connecticut this year.😊❤️🧡💛✨👣✨🍁🍂

The backdrop is not my own work but a scarf I bought from Zentangle HQ years ago. I love it so much, I have it hanging in my home so I can enjoy it every day.

Speaking of Zentangle… if it’s October, then it’s time for Inktober! The goal of Inktober is to draw a little bit every day. I like to follow the tangle prompts offered by Stephanie J., CZT, of Singapore.

Good morning, creatives!

Are you familiar with the charming books by Peter H. Reynolds? They are full of delightful wisdom, and wonderful illustrations. “Ish” is a favorite of mine! “The Dot” is another well-known title of his, extremely popular in elementary classrooms.

Tuesday, September 15 was International Dot Day. And today there is a live event with the author! It is at 1:30 pm (Eastern) and is 30
Minutes, so it won’t take up much of your day.

This post isn’t specifically related to Zentangle, but since dots are an important part of the Zentangle Method, and the theme of this year’s International Dot Day is “Make Your Mark” I thought I’d share this link to a live event today to appeal to your inner child. The event is designed for teachers to show in their classroom, but I just put N/A in the fields asking for my school and district.

I just found out about this event a few minutes ago, and signed up immediately. If you can’t make the live event, then signing up will give you access to a recording of it.

Good morning, and Happy IDOZ! 😃✍️
The International Day of Zentangle is today, and at 10am Eastern you can join tanglers around the world LIVE, tangling together in a YouTube Live event on the Zentangle channel. All you need is a 3.5” paper tike, a pen, a pencil, and a tortillon. Or, if you don’t have these specifically, all you need is something to tangle on, and something to tangle with, as I like to say.

Happy May Day!
Tomorrow is the World Labyrinth Day…
I will be celebrating in Maryville Tennesse…join me if you wish! The goal is to “walk as one at 1” in whatever time zone you are in to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe.☮️🕊️

You can walk a labyrinth with your feet, or follow the path of a handheld or tabletop labyrinth with your finger or a stylus. Or, you could get creative and celebrate WLD by making labyrinth-inspired art. 😊✍️🎨
