Happy May Day!
Tomorrow is the World Labyrinth Day…
I will be celebrating in Maryville Tennesse…join me if you wish! The goal is to “walk as one at 1” in whatever time zone you are in to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe.☮️🕊️

You can walk a labyrinth with your feet, or follow the path of a handheld or tabletop labyrinth with your finger or a stylus. Or, you could get creative and celebrate WLD by making labyrinth-inspired art. 😊✍️🎨

Just walked my first Labyrinth of the year.😊 It was cold and loud due to construction nearby, but it was a lovely labyrinth, and an excellent walk.👣
More details later…it’s still family time.❤️

How are you starting 2026?
I enjoyed this first day relaxing with my family and our pets.

I did a tiny bit of tangling (finished up a tile I started in January, and started a fragment tile), and visited an art museum. 😁✍️❤️

I didn’t get to walk a labyrinth today, but I hope to this weekend. 🙂👣

This year I will continue to explore creative mindfulness and mindful creativity through Zentangle, labyrinths, and other pursuits.
Perhaps you’ll join me, online and/or in person, as I journey in various directions.🧭

Enjoy the lights…be careful with the candles and bonfires, and any other potential hazards…safe travels…may we all experience satisfaction with our blessings and the desire and means to bless others.

Well, here it is! My SWISIT video! You can see me demonstrate the tangle, hear about how it originated, and see multiple examples. It’s about 24 minutes.

I recorded this in 2021 as part of a series for CZT:AE, an online professional development event for Certified Zentangle Teachers® organized by 7F5R Studio. You will hear me reference that a time or two. The opening identifies it as Video 2, yet I verbally refer to it as the first video in my series…it was indeed the first instructional video of the 10 videos that made up my class, but there was an introductory video that preceded it, hence it being Video 2.

I share it now with the worldwide Zentangle community with gratitude for the beautiful art and beautiful friendships that are fostered when we connect with each other.
