This is a small 6 x 8 framed piece.
One of my ‘Bits of Nature’ paintings
Number 997 in the series.
I painted and sold the pressed leave painting for about 15 years when I was working the Gatlinburg Craft Show.

I would like to introduce you to Paradise Vin-tique a fairly new business indoors at the Flea Traders Paradise Mall “Fleamarket”
in Sevierville at 1907 Winfield Dunn Pkwy, open Fri, Sat, and Sunday 9 to 5. Exit 407 toward Sevierville just past the yellow helicopter on the left. Enter the doors facing the main road and it will be first booth on the left. It will include about four different booths, one being Made in Tennessee. A little info on the saws I paint in oils.
There are those that think my cost is very expensive.
There are others that wonder why the saws aren’t more expensive.

When painting a saw first it has to be purchased. Try to find an old saw in fairly good condition at a reasonable price, not a lot of rust, no broken handles, all the hardware, etc. First thing I remove are the handles and clean it/them. Next sand the blade, both sides. Clean both sides with ammonia. Then Prime, both sides.

Now it is ready to do some serious thinking to plan what you are going to paint and where it will be placed. Always a center of interest then work around that to balance the design, color, etc, etc.

It is not a speedy process. Some customers know what they want on the saw. I always ask if they want pictures of my work along the way or do they want to be surprised at the finish.

I always ask what they want painted on the saw before I quote a price as something’s are more time consuming. This one hasn’t been painted yet.
