Way to go, Trent Gay and Victoria Gay. These two showed up and demonstrated amazing partnership! They're great communicators and were able to feel what worked and what didn't.

We wanted to feature a really impressive partnership from Acro Yoga & Mimosas last Sunday. This is Emily and Amber who were able to work together to accomplish Sunday's content without forcing the postures. They were able to feel push and pull connection with one another and made that their focus. These awesome ladies filmed their ex*****on and used the footage to improve their practice real-time. We were so thankful for their participation and what they showed us through their partnership.

Hi! I wanted to make a quick comparison post to discuss development in this posture. Buckle up, it's gonna get wordy ;)

Which photo looks more comfortable for me? The second. Well, I want to point out why. First, notice how my toes are pointed. This actually diminishes stability as a flyer. Notice also the disengaged core and a slight arch in my low back. Both those mess with alignment in any posture. The biggest difference that I wanted to point out, though, is my arms. My arms are bent in the first shot and straight in the second. What does that mean? Well, in the first, I'm holding my balance with push connection and it's requiring a lot of effort. In the second, with straight arms, we have switched to pull connection which has created counter balance between us. In the second picture, Sasha actually has the ability to help me stay balanced by pulling his legs away. It's SO MUCH EASIER!

Last thing I'll say is that the switch between push and pull while flying can be a big ask in terms of trust. Make sure you have someone who will take care of you while you find the edges of each posture!
