Knox, PA……..9/14/25……Knox Raceway held their final show of the 2025 season on Sunday night before a nice crowd and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for this event. The FAST on DIRT 410 Sprint Car series was on hand and Tyler Gunn of Malinta, OH collected the $4,000 top prize. Also on the racing program was the Econo Mod Mania Tour and Coleton Longwell, Burghill, OH captured the $800 purse winning that division’s race. The Mini Stock feature that went green to checkered was won by Josh Frantz of Reynoldsville, PA who collected the $1,200 purse money.

Owners, Brain and Brianna Steinman reopened the track this season after putting it up for sale over the past year or so and brought the track back to life in 2025. Bob Felmee looked right at home during hot laps and upon qualifying Femlee set the fastest time with a time of 13.810 seconds. The eighteen-car field was led to the drop of the green by Jacob Begenwald and Jeremy Kornbau who was behind the wheel of the Barris #32 for the third time this season. Tyler Gunn and Brandon Spithaler started in third and fourth with Bob Felmlee fifth and Carmen Perigo making the trek from Stoystown, PA starting sixth in the field. At the drop of the green, it was Jeremy Kornbau who got the lead coming out of the second turn and led the first lap with Brandon Spithaler close behind in second. Kornbau led the first six circuits but as the cars were coming to lap seven Kornbau and Spithaler got together with Kornbau going through the infield and Spithaler did a 360 but kept on going but brought out the first caution of the race. Kornbau was put back into the lead and Spithaler was sent to the tail for doing a 360. After the restart, Tyler Gunn took the lead on lap seven but cautions on lap seven for Anthony Gaskins and then on lap eight for Brandon Spithaler slowed the field and grouped them together for the restart. Gaskins had his front nose wing damaged and Spithaler retired to the pit area. Once back underway Gunn led until two to go when the caution flew for Jordan Ryan who stopped in turn two. This created a two-lap shootout to the finish and Gunn kept his cool and kept the lead and captured the $4,000 prize money. Jeremy Kornbau finished second with Bob Felmlee riding home in third. Ricky Peterson and Ronald Helmick who was making his first 410 appearance, finished fourth and fifth respectively. Rounding out the top ten were Brandon Matus, Lance Heinberger, Carmen Perigo, Michael Bauer and Brent Matus. Heats were won by Jacob Begenwald, Bob Felmlee and Tyler Gunn.

Next up on the program was the Econo Mod Mania and seventeen cars were registered in the pit area for their twenty-lap event. After the heat races, however, Jeff Longwell and Shane Smith were unable to start the feature, so the fifteen-car field was brought to starter, Todd Beichner’s green flag by Jacob McConnell and Coleton Longwell. Longwell jumped into the early lead on lap one, but the caution flag flew on lap three for Brian Lacey who stopped in turn two. The double file restart once again saw Longwell in the lead but on lap five Dave Shagla and Carter Bidwell got together bringing out the caution for the second time. Both drivers retired from the feature with Bidwell missing the right-side sheet metal on his car. Longwell once again took the lead once the incident was cleaned up and led until lap eighteen when the caution flew for debris on the track. Just like the Sprint feature a two-lap contest to the checkers was on tap, but Longwell was to be rattled, and he picked up the feature win. Finishing second was Brendan Warner with Dennis Lunger, Jr. third. Fourth went to Jacob McConnell with Jarrett Young fifth. Finishing behind the top five were Gary Sullivan, Zach Eller, Garrett Calvert, Chuck Steinle, Jr. and Arianna Samuelson. Heats were won by Longwell and Warner.

Jacob Wheeler and Josh Frantz brought the Mini Stock feature to the green with Frantz taking the lead on the first lap. Frantz’s car had the speed to stay ahead of Jacob Wheeler and Andy Thompson the first four laps of the race. Frantz was in command the entire race, but Jeff Huber and Joesph Huber were closing in the final three laps of the race. The caution free 20-lap event went green-to-checkered with Frantz picking up the $1,200 win. Finishing second was Jeff Huber with Joseph Huber third. Fourth went to Justin Forsyth and Zack Frantz rounded out the top five. Finishing sixth through tenth was Joshua Eakman, Greg Kiehl, Andrew Thompson, Jordan Wheeler and Mike Phillipson. Heat races were won by Jacob Wheeler and Josh Frantz.

Matt Wiedlund, running a 2006 Acura TL led the 50-lap Enduro from the start and never looked back to capture the checkers. Casey Miller finished second with Brian Rydbom third. Cole Miller finished fourth with Darin Myers riding home fifth.

This will round out the 2025 season at Knox Raceway and Brian and Brianna Steinman would like to send out a special “Thank You” to everyone who attended their events this summer. The track is still “For Sale” and if you are interested you may call Brian at Rustler’s Sales and Service for more information.
