This is one of the many mutualistic relationships you could catch on a tour: The Californian sea lion and a gull. Some seabird species, such as gulls or terns, have been sighted assisting sea lions by flushing fish from the water or scavenging leftovers after a sea lion’s meal. While the seabirds benefit directly from the food, the sea lion may also benefit indirectly if the birds’ activity helps concentrate fish in areas the sea lion can then exploit. Sweet!!!

Meet Chris
Chris is an integral part of our Jet Boat team! Chris is our full time Jet Boat Captain, and our part-time comedian. His love for wildlife is as strong as his jokes are memorable. Captain Chris gives everyone who joins the tour a one-of-a-kind experience on the lower Klamath river.
