Little floral thigh piece for my buddy Sarah.

For some reason in my younger years I didn’t like doing flowers. Maybe because I felt I had to be a tough tattooer 😆

These days flowers are sneaking into the majority of my work and ya know, I don’t think I need to try and be so tough anymore. Liking flowers doesn’t mean anything other than you like flowers.

So, if you want a flower…. I will definitely give you some flowers! ❤️

One hour of free hand and two hours of tattoo time.

Most arm bands take me about 2 hours and cost $300.

This of course varies by placement and design detail but it’s a good reference for a starting point if you’re interested in things like this.

I talked with the client throughout the drawing and the tattoo process to make sure we got what he was envisioning:

- thinner or thicker branches?

- are the thorns too long?

- do you like the shading in this picture or this one?

- how about the thickness of this type of line?

I am of course full of ideas and can see how I want a tattoo to turn out, so if you’re not sure I am more than comfortable to make an executive decision.

However, if you’re not certain on a design but still want a hand in the creation process I’m down for a collaboration❤️

Generally, all of these design details and questions would be ironed out before the appointment, but this was a walk-in 😆

Trying to find an escape?

I feel a lot of people are stressed right now, for good reason. It’s easy to feel hopeless and, as a creative unmotivated to make something silly or beautiful.

I read a few things that said as a creative part of my job is to try and create an escape or a safe moment or a feeling of connection even if just for a second of reprieve for someone during insane times. I’m hoping that’s true.

I’m incredibly grateful you’re still showing up to sit in my chair and share your day with me even when things are looking bleak.

I love y’all. But seriously, don’t touch your tattoo.
