Hello and welcome to all dancers both returning and new!
We hope you all have been safe and healthy during the pandemic. Everyone has been affected and dance studios have been hit hard as well. As a result, certain restrictions/precautions have been mandated. Normally we would have a week of fall registration with class placement/audition classes, but with so many students and parents at the studio all at once, the 6ft social distancing requirements will be hard to maintain. Instead, registration will take place online, email or phone. Classes will begin Monday, October 5, 2020.
****Stand by on how to get forms as our website has been compromised!!!****Please go to our website (klamathdance.com) and print out the registration form, class rules, attendance contract, and the photo consent form and bring them to your first scheduled dance day, or mail them to: Klamath Dance, PO Box 1751, Klamath Falls, OR 97601, or send them via email to: [email protected]. This is a requirement for all returning and new students.
All returning students will remain in the class level they last attended, unless otherwise specified by the instructor.
New students will be placed in a class based on their age. If the student has prior dance experience, we will take that into consideration when choosing an appropriate class.
Payment is required by the first dance day of classes. Payment can be mailed or taken by phone. Dancewear can also be purchased and ordered on the first dance day of classes.
During the entire month of October, the staff reserves the right to adjust placement and move dancers to different levels if needed; this ensures a quality learning environment for all students. This pertains to returning and new dancers.
Masks WILL be required, unless by October the face covering mandate has been cancelled. Class sizes may be smaller to accommodate the social distancing. Hand washing or sanitizing will be required when entering and exiting. Parents are not allowed to wait in the lobby and parent observations have been temporarily put on hold. Plastic shields have been installed at the counters and the dance barres will be sanitized after each class. Classes will end 5 minutes early to allow safe exit and entry of classes. A separate entrance and exit has been established to handle the flow of students. Parents dropping off little dancers and making payments will be required to use the separate entry and exit doors.
Hopefully things can get back to normal before we all forget what life was before corona. Until then, we greatly appreciate you dedication to Klamath Dance and together we can survive this! All we need is some patience and understanding.
