Our Mission Statement:
We hope to provide our gorgeous 79 acre farm as a venue for music festivals large and small, a place where arts of all kinds can not only flourish, but be passed on to younger generations, a farm that will provide educational workshops on everything from drum-making, to yoga, to planting trees, as well as a site that also provides beautiful creek-side camping, a general s
tore, a vending area and even has amazing hiking trails. While GDF will host numerous events and festivals throughout the year, we also want to share our gorgeous valley, by opening it up for community events, concerts, or even leasing it for private events. GDF was started in 2015 by Homer Jenkins after the sudden and tragic loss of his wife, Valerie Jenkins. It was always her dream to use their beautiful ranch to host music festivals that would eventually start a scholarship fund for those interested in arts or music. So, Homer got with family and friends and started working on the 40'x30' covered stage, built primarily from local timber, that now resides in our large concert field. At the same time, we started organizing the 1st Annual ValStock, which we are proud to say was a huge success! With over 25 bands, camping, yoga classes, pyro-dancers, hula-hoopers, vendors exhibiting their various crafts from art to jewelry, food vendors and even hot-air balloon rides. We are currently working on plans to make the 2nd Annual ValStock even more amazing! We hope to develop even more partnerships with local communities and organizations as well. We are open to working with anyone who shares the same passion for arts, music, or education that we do!
