Magic colorization can make silver colors pop! Check out the mylar balloon on the bday platter and the coins on the dollar plate! Magic? Not really. Just add a touch of blue and the silver shines! Then a touch of yellow made the copper coins sing! The bday platter was a cone 5/6 stoneware glaze then the image was added and fired to 06. Cone 06 glaze colors were painted on and fired again to 06.
The money platter is a commercial porcelain dish. The image was fired on at around cone 03 then the China paints were added and fired again at cone 018. Colors can be added during glazing or after the image is fired on. You can barely tell that the underlying image is sepia!
