🛠️ Tips & Tricks: Giving Grapevine Bases a Second Life! 🛠️

I have had a customer that has been with me for over a year, and I recently made her two brand-new custom greenery wreaths. When I delivered the new ones, she handed me the old wreaths I’d originally created so I could recycle the grapevine bases for her next order.

One of my favorite things about custom work is that it doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, a little elbow grease can save a beautiful foundation! 💪🌿

✨ Today’s Tips:

🧤 Always wear protective gloves—you never know what might be living inside an old wreath.

🔧 Use a tool that gives you a good grip and protects your hands while pulling materials apart.

🎀 Cut off and discard the old bow if it can’t be reused.

🌿 Remove all of the old greenery that has reached the end of its life.

🔥 Lightly heat the hot glue with a heat tool to help release stubborn stems from the grapevine.

✂️ Pull out any broken stems and leftover pieces to leave a clean base.

🏷️ Zip-tie the cleaned grapevine bases together, label them with your client’s name, and store them until their next custom order.

♻️ A little extra effort today means these grapevine bases are ready for their next beautiful transformation! ❤️

Sometimes the best afternoons are the unexpected ones. ❤️

I spent today helping my mom get to an appointment, and afterward we made a fun little stop at Hobby Lobby. Of course, I couldn’t leave empty-handed! 😄

These gorgeous peacock pieces and that rich blue foliage were calling my name… and I already have a few ideas swirling around. 💙🦚 Stay tuned—you just might see these transformed into something beautiful soon!

🌼Good Morning Friends 🌼

Before moving to Florida, I had never seen one of these plants. Now, every time I come across one, I have to stop and admire it.😂

I love how it almost looks like one giant flower, but it’s actually made up of thick, sculptural layers that stack one on top of another. The colors are so vibrant, and the design almost doesn’t look real.

There are so many things I love photographing around Florida, but this has become one of my favorites. Every time I find one, I can’t resist taking another picture because they’re just that fascinating.

🌴✨ A little tropical beauty for my pool patio! ✨🌴

When I moved into my home, I hung these metal wall pieces and always knew I wanted to dress them up someday. Last Monday during my live, I finally brought that vision to life by creating a colorful floral arrangement that attaches right to the metal frame.

The best part? The floral piece is built on its own base, so I can easily swap it out later for a completely different look whenever inspiration strikes! 💙🧡

🛠️ Tips & Tricks : Zip Ties Are Your Friend! 🛠️

✨ Wanted to add a floral design to a metal wall hanging in my pool area.
✨ Needed a way to attach it securely.
✨ Didn’t want anything complicated.

So I kept it simple! 😉

💚 Built my floral piece on a wire frame.
💚 Positioned it exactly where I wanted it on the metal wall décor.
💚 Used just FOUR zip ties to attach it.
💚 Two near the top and two near the bottom for balance and stability.

And just like that… I turned a plain metal wall hanging into a custom floral piece for my outdoor space! 🌿

💡 Tip of the Day: Never underestimate the power of zip ties. They can attach florals to lanterns, metal décor, signs, baskets, wall hangings, and so much more. They are one of the hardest-working supplies in my craft room!

🌾 Petals in Paradise 🌾

As I was walking the beach last weekend, I wasn’t sure I’d find many photos for Petals in Paradise. Florida has definitely been feeling the effects of a drought these last few months, and a lot of the vegetation is looking tired and dried out.

But the more I wandered and looked around, the more beauty I found.

One of the things that caught my eye was this dune grass growing high above the sand. It’s completely dried out, yet when the breeze catches it, it sways back and forth in the most beautiful way. Up close, the texture and details are absolutely mesmerizing.

Just another reminder that beauty comes in all forms—and sometimes it’s the things we almost walk past that end up being the most interesting. ❤️
