Get ready to explore the wonderfully weird, fascinating, and gross side of science!

In Grossology, students will dive into the nitty-gritty and microscopic world of things we might normally consider a little… yucky. From snot and germs to insects, digestion, and other amazing bodily functions, students will discover the science behind the stuff we don't always like to talk about—but that is incredibly fascinating!

Through fun, hands-on exploration and science-based activities, students will learn why our bodies do the things they do, how germs and microorganisms work, and what makes some of nature's grossest phenomena so interesting.

As part of the ongoing Art in Public Places lending program, Osceola Arts partners with the City of Kissimmee to showcase artwork created by Florida artists, providing artistic and cultural displays to engage and enrich the community. This fall, we celebrate the rich history and accomplishments of the Hispanic population in Central Florida with the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Exhibition at Kissimmee City Hall!

The free and public exhibition will run from September 15 to November 13 (during Kissimmee City Hall open hours), highlighting the creativity and individuality contributed by Hispanic artists to Central Florida’s cultural heritage. A free reception will be held on September 22 at 5 p.m. in Kissimmee City Hall’s Rain Garden, featuring the art exhibit, live musical performances, and light refreshments. During the reception, we’ll recognize local honorees whose work and impact celebrate and uplift Hispanic heritage, culture, and identity within the City of Kissimmee. We hope to see you there!
