Kirkland Arts Center (KAC) has been building a vibrant community through art for over 50 years. KAC promotes artistic mastery and community participation in the visual arts through innovative educational programming, free contemporary exhibitions and dynamic events while providing stewardship of the iconic 125 year old Peter Kirk Building. KAC is also a resource for local artists, and offers diverse studio & gallery rental opportunities to the public.

Celebrate the fall season by creating your own handmade ceramic pumpkin!

🎃🎃🎃

This fun, beginner-friendly workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of clay through a fun seasonal project. By the end of the workshop, students will have a finished, one-of-a-kind ceramic pumpkin to enjoy, display, or share as a handmade gift for years to come.

Instructor Feature: Eun Kyung Kim!

Eun Kyung Kim is a visual artist who works in painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. She graduated with a BFA in Painting and Sculpture from Emily Carr University of Art+Design, and studied at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf as a Meisterschülerin (master student).

Her upcoming class, Fundamentals of Watercolors, is an 8 week course covering fundamental watercolor techniques. Students will create paintings that explore color, light, texture, and atmosphere while building confidence with watercolor.

Instructor Feature: M Morris!

M Morris is a ceramicist and engineer with a background in fiber arts and glassblowing. As an avid trail runner, she takes inspiration from the local plants and wildlife around Washington.

Her upcoming class, Ceramic Sculpture, focuses on creative expression through the creation of unique and expressive ceramic sculptures. This 10-week course welcomes students of all skill levels.

Her other upcoming class, Animal Jars Intensive, guides students through the process of sculpting cute animal jars, great for gifting or decorating around the house! While prior experience is helpful, this multi-day workshop is for all skill levels.
