Everyone knows bisexuals don’t sit normally, and what’s more unusual than sitting on a 45mm metal pole? Of course, you don’t need to be bisexual to embrace that “inability to sit normally” energy this Pride Month.

In this workshop, our very own bisexual gargoyle will lead you through different entries, shapes, and dismounts you can review or add to your pole vocabulary. Keep it on static or incorporate some spin pole - either way, be prepared to have fun and break in some new skin!

PREREQUISITES:
Pole 101 or equivalent, basic Pole Sit
Wear pole shorts or sticky leggings - you’ll need the grip points!

FULL MOON BO***IR TAROT 🌕

Start in a guided Bo***ir warmup and meditative combo based on the MOON tarot card. Get a tarot crash course in the Moon card and a journaling activity to release what no longer holds you, ending with a cord cutting ceremony and most importantly - dancing the release!

Bring your own deck if you have one, otherwise there is a limited number of decks to borrow for class.

No prerequisites.

FLOORWORK FUNDAMENTALS
Floorwork Workshop with SuzieQ
Wednesday, June 24 | 10-12PM

We’re breaking down the art of backward rolls, forward rolls, shoulder stands, and shoulder stalls in this engaging 2-hour workshop.

Perfect for newcomers or anyone looking to review their rolls, this class is all about making the learning experience fun and accessible. Students will also take away conditioning exercises to try at home to build strength and confidence in the floorwork rolls and stands.

This is a great workshop for students who have never successfully rolled before or students who can only roll in one direction.

PREREQUISITES:
Completion of Pole 101 or Bo***ir 101
Ability to lift into a shoulder stand at the pole
Ability to safely plow (feet don’t have to touch the ground)

This workshop is perfect for students who are brand new to the wonderful world of Bo***ir Dance. You will learn our signature Bo***ir Dance warmup, basic floorwork, and how to utilize the pole as a dance partner while we explore transitions and grounded pole work.

By the end of class, you’ll be dancing a gorgeous and graceful routine!

No dance experience required.

Get low and learn to own the floor in this practical and sensual workshop! We’re breaking down the art of crawls, slithers, rolls, and all things floor travel. This is the perfect workshop for students who want to feel more fluid and expressive in their floorwork, or anyone who has ever felt unsure about what to do once they find the ground.

PREREQUISITES:
Completion of Pole or Bo***ir 101. All-levels class; some students may learn up to Intermediate Floorwork movements based on their experience.

Knee pads required (available to borrow at the studio). Heels welcome, but not required.

SUMMER SLUMBER PARTY 🎉
Special 3-Hour Event with Natalie & Elizabeth
Saturday, June 13 | 7-10PM

We’re turning the studio into the ultimate social lounge!

After a short Bo***ir-style warmup, we will bring in the games and shenanigans - think party game classics with a dance twist! Once the dancing is done, the pajamas come out. Get cozy for a movie night - pizza and popcorn is on us! Bring your favorite PJs, a pillow, and a blanket or sleeping bag for the ultimate sleepover experience.

Are we actually watching a movie? Yes! Expect the second half of the workshop to feature a movie up on the big projector! We will offer some movie options to vote for during the workshop.

Is this an actual sleepover? We wish! Sadly, this 3-hour workshop will wrap up around 10PM - your bed is probably comfier to sleep on than our floor anyway.

Come bond with your studio fam for a night of movement, vibes, and so many laughs!

This month we are highlighting and collecting donations for .across.the.bridge, a passionate team committed to supporting and uplifting the voices and lived experiences of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community on the Eastside. They firmly believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and celebrated close to home, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

This is a free event, but please donate if you can! We’ll be collecting Pole Jam donations at the studio for the entire month of June. Every contribution helps! 🌈

Learn how to dance like water by connecting moves and adding details to your dance. We’ll learn a sequence and concentrate on the fluidity of movement and all the “in-betweens” to make the dance into a single, continuous movement.

LEGGY SHAPES @ 7:45PM
Come learn some of Lady Arkane’s favorite leggy shapes! We will break down some of her favorite shapes through proper technique and learn control with a focus on lines. Learn the secrets to make these shapes look effortless!

SLIME TIME 💚

Slime Time is a heels-based workshop where grit meets grind. We’re getting down and dirty with slinky transitions, fluid musicality, and the kind of music that oozes attitude. You’ll dig into embodied exercises and drippy choreography, and find those slow, delicious movements that make the floor melt under you. It’s all about making the movement your own - messy, powerful, and maybe a little unhinged.

Come ready to slip, slide, and leave a little wreckage behind.

PREREQUISITES:
Comfortable with basic spins and freestyle movement. Kneepads are a must. Heels are highly encouraged.
