"Camellia Wonderland", 4th of 4 panels.

Viewers at my most recent show shared with me that this quadriptych feels "peaceful" and "calm". That they imagine this to be a piece hung in the bedroom, above the headboard.

I thought it was such a lovely idea. Imagine being surrounded by these soft, gentle camellias in your dreams 🩷

"Camellia Wonderland", 3rd of 4 panels.

If you wonder why I made a quadriptych...😊

It's because I have been wowed by so many camellia shrubs, all different shapes and forms, around my neighborhood, that even my original ambition of making my first triptych didn't give the artwork enough room to breathe.

An extra wide (digital) canvas gave the various blooms I have painted the space they need to flow across the piece, while maintaining an interesting visual composition within each panel on its own.

"Camellia Wonderland", 2nd of 4 panels

Each bloom has many beautiful layers of petals and are supported by varying shades of green leaves. It's so satisfying to linger on each bloom as they flow across the (digital) canvas.

These camellias captivated me. The shrubs were so dense and luscious, they were wonderful to admire from afar and up close.

This image is one of four panels of the piece "Camellia Wonderland" (i.e. a quadriptych). Each panel shows a unique set of blooms and greeneries in a composition that evokes movement and vividness.

These cheerful daisies carry a lightness that always makes me smile 😊

Soft shadows move across the petals, giving the flowers a sense of movement and vividness against the minty green background. The overall feeling is bright, fresh, and uplifting — like sunlight filtering through a garden in early spring.

These soft pink poppies feel like a breath of calm after a long day.

The layered petals and deep blue-green background create a sense of warmth and stillness that gently draws the eye. I love how this piece can feel both uplifting and grounding at the same time. Bright enough to bring energy into a space, while still carrying a quiet softness.

I love the simplicity and the innocence these buttercups symbolize. The cheerful yellow casts a dramatic contrast against the soft lavender background.

This piece holds a quiet kind of optimism for me. The kind that persists gently, continuing to turn toward the light.

“Pink Dahlia” is wonderfully mesmerizing to me — soft layers unfolding slowly from the center, drawing the eye inward with each petal.

The dark blue background in contrast grounds the vivid movement of the Dahlia, allowing the viewer to immerse between layers while the mind calms and focuses.

A lot of my work is really about this balance: movement and stillness existing at the same time.

“Peony 2” has always felt quiet to me in a very grounding way.

The composition is simpler than many of my other works: layered petals, soft movement, and a restrained color palette. Maybe that’s exactly why I keep returning to it. It’s the kind of piece I imagine focusing on during yoga or in moments when the mind needs somewhere gentle to land.

One of the things people share with me most often at in-person events is that my work makes them feel calm or peaceful. Even with vibrant color, I’m often searching for a feeling of stillness underneath the layers.

"Orange Zinnia"

Lately I’ve been noticing how differently some pieces feel once they’re imagined at a larger scale.

“Orange Zinnia” is one of the works that keeps pulling me back in; the movement, layered petals, and saturated color seem to breathe differently when given more room.

One of the things I enjoy most about working digitally is the flexibility to explore how a piece might live in different formats and spaces, rather than being tied to a single original size.

The paper print version is currently available through my website. If you’re interested in seeing this piece as a metal print or in a larger presentation format, feel free to message me or come see it at one of my upcoming in-person events.

May is shaping up to be a full month of in-person shows 🌿

If you’ve been meaning to see my work in person, this is a good time to wander through and experience it up close. Most of my pieces are layered in a way that doesn’t fully come through on screen—there’s a quiet moment when you stand in front of them that I really value.

I’ll be showing across a few different spaces this month. Each one has a slightly different feel, but I’ll be bringing a mix of my recent work, including a few newer pieces I haven’t shared much yet.

Would love to see you if you’re nearby!
